Someone help me with this one. I want to have smart cruise control in ETS2 but I can't figure out how to properly make it work. I mean there are a cople of different settings that probably affect it like 'automatic retarder' and 'smart cc treshhold (retarder only)'. I want to have it like in real life. Say I set cruise control to 95 km/h then ran up to a slower truck (90 km/h).
So naturally I'd expect my truck to slow down to 90 km/h and then go back to 95 km/h again as soon as I change lanes. Is it possible? Originally posted by CMETAHKA:Someone help me with this one. I want to have it like in real life. Say I set cruise control to 95 km/h then ran up to a slower truck (90 km/h).
So naturally I'd expect my truck to slow down to 90 km/h and then go back to 95 km/h again as soon as I change lanes. Is it possible? Set the threshold to, say, 5kmh. The smart cruise control works when you have your CC set at, say, 90kmh and you are going down a hill and you naturally speed up because of gravity, the retarder kicks in at 95kmh and slows you back down to your set CC speed.

If your CC is set at, say, 100kmh and you decrease it to 80kmh - approaching a speed camera, for example - the retarder will kick in until you reach 80kmh, getting you to the slower speed quicker. Your CC is then set at 80kmh. Is that what you mean?
